My guess is since they specifically stated that EU players may have high pings on NA servers that it is at least middle if not west coast. If it were on the east coast. I believe it was stated years ago to be on the east coast right now and EU players have no issues so it would have to be further west. I don't even care about the loss of time. Only hyped for the expansion and hopefully we will log on and play with no issues. Save to say we probably will. Thanks square. Least it's before Stormblood. Buy Blade and Soul Gold I was half expecting it to happen the day after that was released lol. Now I just gotta remember not to have any plants growing then.

My previous sub for march was practically wasted with so much maintenances on the days that I actually play. Sad times. Stopped subbing gonna wait for the expansion pack ;-;  I'm happy for the people who are gonna have a better game experience because of this. As an EU player, I was very happy and grateful myself with the EU data center relocation. Keep up the good work! Are you going to fix the patcher so I can resub? I've tired everything in every forum and got nothing. Keep getting an error code trying to download the game. Good luck with the move! And thank you so much for all the hard work you guys are doing for us to have more inventory and housing item space!! <3

I dont understand why the non EU servers are down. I guess for maintenance, but why 24 hour? They only do 24 hour maintenance before expansion launch or a large patch. Well depends, if they are relocating the server further away from you, it will probably augment your latency to the game servers... It should be an improvement for all Americans. Not only closer, but we don't have to deal with Level 3's incompetency. Yeah yoshida already said some people may see a rise in Ms but nothing over 200 so the game should be fine for everyone in n/a esp the south and south west. Depends on your definition of "unplayable". It seems like people living in the south of the US get a little over 100ms right now, and that's definitely playable. Yoshi-P said the ms should be able to get to about 220 before being negatively affected. Even so, AU players can get to about 300-350ms and have minimal issues playing the game. Yeah I read the thing about 200-220ms, I reckon I'm just overthinking it since there's alot at stake in the worst case scenario, I don't know much about the ping / distance relationship but I'd imagine a drastic move from one coast to the other would have just as bad effects on EU ping..
