Sadness though....Gamestop is begining to sell prepaid subscriptions at the stores. I'll be honest, FF14 has one of the nicest communities that I've found. Never had any rage quitters or abuse hurlers in dungeons/raids that I've run. Well I've put over 600 hours into the game so I guess if I'm lucky, I'm at least consistently lucky! For you its 9, for me is 9x5 due to foreign exchange rate so its little to big for some people who are not trolls but want to play...Oh sure, unfortunately there will be some decent people who want to play but can't afford it but at the same time a subscription does keep away the wave of trollish dicks that tend to inhabit F2P games. That's more than 8 beers, three very good beers, or even maybe two expensive ones.You say it keeps out trolls and such but I see the same amount of toxic players in P2P, B2P and F2P. Only difference is that those on P2P also usually treat anyone who doesn't play their P2P game like trash.
Lost count of the amount of times I have received abuse because of liking an F2P or because I have a less than perfect opinion of a P2P one. Stuart Patterson I'm with you there. I used to like an f2p game called Mabinogi before it went into the shithole. I loved the battle system on that game a bit more than I did ff14.
